Kristina Pugh, LCSW

Hello, I’m Kristina (Kristi) Pugh, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at The Anchor Place. I provide trauma-informed therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families in Canyon County and throughout the Treasure Valley, including Nampa and Caldwell. I am passionate about helping clients move through anxiety, depression, trauma, and family challenges with clarity, confidence, and practical tools for lasting change.

I work with children as young as five through adulthood, supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally reactive, or disconnected. When working with teens and families, I take a systems-based approach — partnering with caregivers while helping adolescents feel respected, heard, and accountable. My goal is to reduce power struggles, improve communication, and strengthen relationships at home.

My specialties include anxiety therapy, depression counseling, trauma recovery, and child and adolescent family dynamics. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and trauma-informed care. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a brief, research-supported treatment that can be effective for PTSD, trauma, addiction, and other concerns, often producing meaningful progress in just a few sessions.

Clients describe my style as warm, collaborative, and structured. I believe therapy should feel safe while also helping you build real-world coping skills and emotional regulation strategies. I offer both in-person counseling and telehealth therapy across Idaho to increase access and flexibility.

If you’re looking for a teen therapist, trauma therapist, or anxiety and depression counseling in the Treasure Valley, I welcome the opportunity to connect and see if we’re a good fit.

Hello! My name is Bonnie Benson and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I am thrilled to be a part of the team at The Anchor Place. During my counseling career I have worked primarily with children ages 5-12 and their parents. As a former elementary school counselor, I understand the challenges children face on a daily basis. I also have worked as a mental health counselor at a variety of clinics and community mental health centers.

I believe that we all are truly doing the best we can in any given moment. I also believe that all behavior has meaning and is shaped by social interactions. People strive for a sense of belonging and personal growth. Change is possible with the proper support, encouragement and care.

My areas of  specialization include anxiety, emotional regulation, depression, family changes (moving, divorce), and school challenges. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches including person-centered therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, Adlerian therapy and trauma-informed care. The mediums I use frequently with children are play therapy and sand tray therapy.

I strive to create a safe, nurturing, encouraging, compassionate, caring environment where clients  explore their emotions, gain self-awareness and resilience. I offer in person sessions. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions to see if I can provide support for your child and family.

Natalya Davis, MSW Intern

Hello! My name is Natalya Davis and I am a graduate level student pursuing my Masters Degree in Social Work at Northwest Nazarene University. I am grateful to be a part of the team at The Anchor Place.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from the University of Idaho, with minors in communication and psychology, which laid a strong foundation for my passion. I care deeply about supporting my community and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and understood while honoring their strengths and experiences.

When I am not studying, I enjoy crafting and photography, spending time in my garden, and cherishing moments with my family, who inspire and motivate me every day.

My name is Molly, and I’m the Office Manager and Billing Coordinator here at The Anchor Place. I help keep our office running smoothly by managing daily operations, coordinating schedules, and overseeing billing with accuracy and care. With a background in administrative support and financial processes, I take pride in staying organized, detail-oriented, and love being the go-to person for both the behind-the-scenes details and the day-to-day needs of our team and clients.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of three and stay happily busy with family life. I enjoy painting, spending time outdoors, and making memories with the people I love—whether it’s cozy movie nights at home or sunny afternoons at the lake with extended family and friends.
